4 Curriculum Vitae Miranda Tromp werd op 21 maart 1980 thuis geboren in Middenbeemster, onder begeleiding van de huisarts. Zij groeide op in de Beemster als middelste van 3 zussen. Na het behalen van haar VWO diploma aan het Da Vinci College te Purmerend vertrok zij voor een jaar naar Australië en Indonesië waar ze werkte als fruitplukster om de reis te bekostigen. In 1999 begon zij aan de studie Medische Informatiekunde aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Haar eindstage op de afdeling Klinische Informatiekunde was een zogenaamde Topstage in het kader waarvan zij een masterclass bijwoonde in Salt Lake City in de Verenigde Staten. Na het behalen van haar master diploma in 2003 werkte ze als junior onderzoeker voor een project ( My HealthSpace ) van de National Health Service van Engeland in samenwerking met Professor Jeremy Wyatt. Daarna werkte ze als junior onderzoeker bij twee landelijke registraties voordat zij op 1 oktober 2004 begon aan haar promotietraject. Aangesteld als promovenda bij de afdeling Klinische Informatiekunde in het AMC deed zij onderzoek naar het koppelen van bestanden binnen de perinatale zorg en het gebruik van de gekoppelde gegevens voor epidemiologisch onderzoek. Dit onderzoek vond plaats binnen een samenwerking tussen de afdelingen Klinische Informatiekunde, Public Health Epidemiology en Klinische Epidemiologie, Biostatistiek en Bioinformatica, met gegevens van de Stichting Perinatale Registratie Nederland. Binnen dit onderzoek werkte zij daarnaast samen met de afdeling Verloskunde en Gynaecologie van het AMC, het Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek en de GGD Amsterdam. Vanaf 1 april 2009 is zij werkzaam als projectleider binnen het domein patiëntenzorg bij de algemene dienst ICT en de afdeling Kwaliteit en Proces Innovatie in het AMC. Miranda woont samen met haar vriend Michiel in Amsterdam. 189

5 Curriculum Vitae Miranda Tromp was born at home on the 21 st of March 1980 in Middenbeemster, under supervision of the general practitioner. She grew up as the middle child of three sisters in the Beemster. After obtaining her VWO diploma at the Da Vinci College in Purmerend, she left for a year to Australia and Indonesia where she worked as a fruit picker to finance her trip. In 1999 she started with the study Medical Informatics at the University of Amsterdam. Her master intership at the deparment of Medical Informatics was a socalled Topstage for which she participated in a masterclass in Salt Lake City, United States. After obtaining her master degree in 2003, she worked as a junior researcher for a project ( My HealthSpace ) of the National Health Service of England in cooperation with Professor Jeremy Wyatt. Thereafter she worked as a junior researcher for two national registries before she started her PhD project on the 1 st of October Appointed as PhD student at the Department of Medical Informatics in the AMC, she conducted research into the linkage of registry datasets within perinatal care and the use of linked perinatal care data for epidemiological research. This research project took place as a collaboration between the departments of Medical Informatics, Public Health Epidemiology and Clinical Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Bioinformatics, with data from the Netherlands Perinatal Registry Foundation. As part of this research project she also worked together with the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the AMC, Statistics Netherlands and the Municipal Health Service in Amsterdam. From the 1 st of April 2009 she is working as project manager within the domain of patient care at the general department of ICT and the department of Quality and Process Innovation in the AMC. Miranda lives together with her partner Michiel in Amsterdam. 190
